Reverse shows naval battle vignette with legend: "CAPTURE OF THE BRITISH SHIP PENGUIN BY THE U.S. SHIP HORNET"; inscription in exergue: "OFF TRISTAN D'ACUNHA/MARCH XXIII/MDCCCXV."
