Description:
Policeman's cap with blue wool crown with flat, circular top; black leather visor; chin strap made of brown cloth tape with leather backing with either end secured by a gilded metal button with embossed New York City seal; gilded metal insignia of openwork design at center front with inscription, "POLICE RESERVES / 1664 / CITY OF NEW YORK," in relief.
