Iron cannonball.

This cannonball was found in 1918 during excavations for the foundation of a new hospital building on the reservation of the U.S. Naval Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. The cannonball may have been fired by British or Continental artillery forces during the Battle of Long Island on August 27, 1776.
