Wrought silver cann; baluster shaped body with a flared lip, seated on a stepped and molded foot; double-scroll handle with a small drop below the upper juncture, a circular joint for the lower and a scroll terminal; engraved on the base, "R/ I E" in block letters; maker's marks stamped on the base.
This cann belonged to the Harsen family of Harsenville, NY.
