Description:
A campaign button with a photograph of Wendell Willkie encircled by a border of red and white stripes and white stars on blue, with red, white and blue cloth ribbons attached to the bottom and a little gray plastic Republican elephant dangling from a thread below the pin. Wendell Lewis Willkie (1892-1944) was a Republican candidate for president of the United States, 1940, in an unsuccessful run against FDR.
