The protests culminated in Housing Action Week, called by WBAI-FM and the Listeners Action on Homelessness and Housing, an advocacy group. Housing Action Week plans for city wide rallies, forums, lobbying efforts distribution of education material, and efforts to mobilize concerned citizens to be come active in city housing issues and upcoming municipal election. The week concluded with a march on December 18th to protest the city's housing and homeless polices, attended by approximately 5,000 people.
