Description:
Black lacquered wood handle, tapers to end and curves in toward ferrule. Tip of handle is broken off. Seamed, conical metal ferrule. Squirrel(?) bristles.

Devoe did not begin making brushes until the late 1870s. The company became F.W. Devoe & C.T. Raynolds in 1890.
