Yellow lacquered wood handle, tapers to end, curves in slightly to ferrule. Seamed conical metal ferrule. White bristles stained with dried pigment.
According to the accession records, this tabouret was used by Asher B. Durand, an artist and engraver best known for his Hudson River school paintings.
