Yellow, lacquered wood handle, tapers to point, curves in toward ferrule. Cylindrical, seamed metal ferrule with three rings of "/////" pattern inscribed around base. White bristles.
According to the accession records, this tabouret was used by Asher B. Durand, an artist and engraver best known for his Hudson River school paintings.
