Stained wood handle, tapers minimally to end, tip is cut into point, curves in at ferrule. Conical, seamed, metal ferrule. White bristles, heavily damaged.
According to the accession records, this tabouret was used by Asher B. Durand, an artist and engraver best known for his Hudson River school paintings.
