Description:
Enameled metal demi-parure (earrings and brooch), each in the form of a leaf; blue, green, orange enamel with incised lines; gold ear wires and pin attachment (pin is loose); black leather fitted case lined in ivory satin and light blue velvet; maker's mark printed under case lid; push-button clasp closure.

According to "American Jewelry Manufacturers," Ball, Black & Co. was the successor to Ball, Tompkins & Black in 1851, and was in turn succeeded by Black Starr & Frost in 1876. This demi-parure (jewelry suite) was among jewelry items from the Livingston family.
