Light green glass bottle blown in a three-part mold with a hand tooled finish and an ovoid body with embossed lettering running downward on a diagonal, "EMPIRE BOTTLING CO. 47 GREAT JONES ST. N.Y;" base is f lat with an embossed "B" and a cylindrical drilled hile; bottle was recovered archaeologically and shows some iridescence on surface.

According to the accession records, this bottle was excavated on Great Jones St., New York City. The Empire Bottling Co. was located at 47 Jones Street, New York, from 1880-1881.
