"The Board Game of Old Maid" board game with board in the bottom half of a paper covered cardboard box; four wooden playing pieces and a carboard spinner with a metal arrow; box chromolithographed with a personified image of an old female cat in a bonnet, carrying a umbrella and a hat box labeled, "MISS/ ALLA LONE" and a personified male cat approaching; box cover inscribed, "The BOARD GAME/ OLD MAID/ PARKER BROTHERS,/ SALEM, MASS. U.S.A."; board with a winding blue and pink path of rectangles broken by cartouches printed with instructions such as, "Rushes matters. Go to Proposal" and "Papa says no Go back to Proposal"; at end of path are two hearts labled "Yes" and "No".
