Inscription: obverse, on bust truncation, at right: "TIFFANY & CO." Inscription: box cover, imprinted in black: "TIFFANY & CO./UNION SQUARE, NEW YORK/221&221a Regent St Ave de l'Opera 36bis/London Paris/Frand Prix/EXPOSITIONS UNIVERSELLES/1878 & 1889"
Bronze struck medal, issued by the Society of Colonial Wars, with obverse showing accolated clothed busts of Sir Peter Warren and Sir William Pepperrell, facing left and labelled respecively: ".WARREN.", at left, and ".PEPPERRELL.", at right; two roundels with head of Native American and figure of European settler flank central image; legend: "SOCIETY OF COLONIAL WARS/NIL DESPERANDUM CHRISTO DUCE/IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 150TH/ANNIVERSARY OF THE CAPTURE JUNE 17 1745." Reverse depicts view of city surrounded by harbor with sailing ships; legend above: "LUDOVICOBURGUM FUNDATUM ET MUNITUM"; date in exergue: "M.DCC.XX." Medal is inset into square white cardboard fitted case with light brown cotton flannel lining.
