Description:
Metal badge suspended from bar with pin-back; upper bar in the shape of an eagle holding two crossed cannons and cannon balls; 5 point star depicts image of a woman, solider, children and two American flags; inscribed "GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC/1861 VETERAN 1866"; reverse depicts various symbols and an American shield at center.
Gallery Label:
This badge belonged to Loren Wellington Tuller (1839-1814), who served as Lieutenant, Captain, and Brevet Major, 60th Regt, New York State Vounteers, 1862-1865. He was later member of the G.A.R. and of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion.
