Bronze struck plaquette with obverse showing clothed bust of Saint-Gaudens facing left with inscription above: "AUGUSTUS SAINT-GAUDENS/STATUAIRE AETATISLVI." Reverse contains inscription: "IN.HONOR.../OF.AN.AMERICAN/SCVLPTOR.../AVGVSTVS SAINT/GAVDENS.../SCVLPTORS.DINNER.OF.THE/MEDALLIC.ART.COMPANY.N.Y/APRIL.IX.MCMXXXVII." Medal is inset into burgundy red cardboard box.
