Cream colored, machine-made, wove paper, very light-weight, cut straight along all four sides, folded in one corner with tears on two adjacent sides. Discoloration from light along one short side.
According to the accession records, this tabouret was used by Asher B. Durand, an artist and engraver best known for his Hudson River school paintings.
