Living History: Meet President John Adams

Recommended for all ages

We’re celebrating Presidents’ Day over School Vacation Week! Join us on the weekends to meet the founders who became our nation’s five first presidents and first ladies.

On Sunday, February 19, meet our nation’s second president, John Adams! Mr. Adams will certainly tell you about how he came to the presidency from a background in law and founded the navy when US ships were attacked by the French. Don’t forget to ask about his relationship with Thomas Jefferson and Abigail Adams and discover the amazing feats that he accomplished during the American Revolution!

About the Living Historians
Portraying Adams, George Baker is a graduate of Columbia College and Columbia Law School that practices law in Connecticut. Since 2008, George has portrayed John Adams at venues across the nation, including Mystic Seaport, the Boston Public Library’s National Endowment for the Humanities-sponsored travelling exhibit, “John Adams Unbound,” and various historical societies, chapters of the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution, and presidential libraries.
