How much do you know about Black Wall Street? The new HBO series Watchmen recently dramatized a signal event in American history: the 1921 attack on Greenwood Avenue, a.k.a. "Black Wall Street," a thriving African American community in Tulsa, OK, that was destroyed by white supremacist violence during a two-day riot.
How do soldiers cope in the aftermath of war? Hear from the men and women who've worn the U.S. uniform. Members of the group Voices From War share their stories of trauma and homecoming after conflicts in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. After their readings, stick around for questions and a moderated discussion.
