The scarf's design is centered on a reproduction of Jean Delagrive's 1746 Plan de Versailles, which is important for showing Le Nôtre's plan for the palace gardens. The corners are ornamented with medallion portraits of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, and images of the SAR badge and seal. The scarf was made in Lyons by Cedric Brochier Soieries, a silk manufacturer providing textiles for leading French couture houses.
