Winston Churchill had a lifelong fascination with secret intelligence, espionage, and special operations. They helped him win the Second World War in ways that his biographer, Andrew Roberts, will explain in his ninth Lehrman Churchill lecture. From code breaking to spying to two personal adventures, Churchill was at the heart of Britain’s intelligence capability.

Andrew Roberts, author of Churchill: Walking with Destiny, is Roger and Martha Mertz Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and Distinguished Lehrman Fellow at the New-York Historical Society.
