Acclaimed biographer Kati Marton illuminates the life and political savvy of the reputedly private German chancellor, who is internationally lauded for her wisdom, humility, and capacity to bridge bitter divisions.
Kati Marton, a George Foster Peabody Award-winning journalist and a human rights advocate, is the author of The Chancellor: The Remarkable Odyssey of Angela Merkel. Jonathan Alter (moderator), an award-winning historian, columnist, and documentary filmmaker, is the author of His Very Best: Jimmy Carter, a Life.
