White cardboard matchbook printed in white green and blue. the emblem design of a swan in profile and the text "THE WATER CLUB" in a oval comprised of two lines is printed on the front of the matchcover; the swan and the text are printed in green and the oval is printed in blue; "CLOSE COVER . STRIKE MATCH ON BACK" is printed in blue on the footer; above the footer, the emblem is framed by a blue printed rectangle; "The East River at 30th Street / New York, NY 10016 . 683-3333" is printed on the reverse directly above the striker; "ADMATCH CORP. NEW YORK - PRODUCT OF JAPAN" is printed on the manumark.
