Description:
Gold and silver gilt watch fob consisting of a ring with three charms and a bail; one charm is lozenge shaped with molded floral design on both sides; another charm is bell shaped with oval carnelian seal (no design); the third charm is grapevine and scroll design attached to floral garland bezel with faceted quartz setting.
Gallery Label:
This watch fob belonged to General Philip Schuyler (1836-1906). He served in the Union army during the Civil War and was a member of the Seventh Regiment, New York National Guard. He was also president of the Union Club. Schuyler married Harriet Lowndes Langdon in 1872.
