Gilt aluminum octagonal medal with obverse showing neo-gothic cathedral with inscription in exergue: "WASHINGTON/CATHEDRAL." Reverse bears inscription within central rectangular tablet with eagle above and draped fasces below: "TOKEN/OF MY OFFERING/TO THE GLORY OF GOD/AND TO HELP BUILD A/WITNESS FOR CHRIST IN/THE NATION'S CAPITAL."
