Description:
Dark blue wool 4-pocket waistcoat from Grand Army of the Republic uniform, shallow V-neck (no collar), 6 buttons down the front cast with "GAR" cypher; reverse made of chocolate brown twill-weave cotton, back isin 2 panels, with 2 straps at the small of the back which buckle at the center to rectangular metal buckle with double-tongued chape; inside lined with white cotton, horizontal slit pocket at the right breast.
