An aluminum medallion embossed with a sleek stylized image of a 1930's train engine on one side surrounded by the words "Union Pacific/ 1934/ Lucky Piece". On the reverse "A Sample/ Of The Aluminum/ In The New/ Union Pacific Train/ Built By/ Pullman Car & Mfg. Corp./ ALCOA/ Aluminum Co./ Of America", with the Alcoa company shield. One of four identical, 2002.1.3144 through 2002.1.3147 and for a 1940 issue, 2002.1.3148.
