Description: 
A dark gold colored metal token with a "Y" shaped pierced center and a band of spiral decoration on the edges. Embossed on the band "New York City/ Transit Authority", with an "N" and a "C' flanking the "Y" opening to spell NYC. The reverse reads "Good For One Fare" around the "NYC". Issued between 1970 and 1978 during the period fares rose from 30 to 35 cents, then up to 50 cents.
