Description: 
A black rectangular tin plug tobacco tag printed with a central red oval frame around a color drawing of a rooster marked "Trade Mark/ Mayo's Tobacco/ Always Good". Used between 1870 and 1930 to identify brands of plug tobacco at the point of sale, tobacco tags were treasured collectibles redeemed for premiums.
