Description: 
A large black oval tin that probably held candles with a lid with a handpainted floral and geometric border in gold with white highlights that opens on a hinge. One side is painted in gold with an oval frame around a anchor, the reverse is painted with an oval frame around the words "Sold By/ Champlin & Smith/ Ship Chandlers/ New York." with a bottom gold leafy border.
