Description:
silver teaspoon with a downturned fiddle handle, flared shoulders and a pointed oval bowl with shell decoration; engraved on the handle, "HJL" in script; maker's marks stamped on the undersides of the handles.
Gallery Label:
This teaspoon originally belonged to Harriet Jackson Lyon (1807-1854, Mrs. Peter MacMartin), whose initials are engraved on the handles.
