Description:
A cream colored ceramic store display tobacco jar embossed on one side with painted highlights of leaves and flowers surrounding the words "Spaulding & Merrick/ Sunny Bank/ Chicago". The reverse reads the same in unpainted embossing. Spaulding & Merrick produced several types of tobacco including Briar Pipe tobacco and Plow Boy cigarettes as well as Sunny Bank.
