Circular tin "commodity cabinet" store display for sewing needles; printed in black and red " 'Boye' Patented/ Needle and Shuttle Case/ Containing Only/ The High Grade/ Boye Brand/ Needles & Shuttles/ Needles and Shuttles For Your Machine". A list of machine manufacturers, model and needles sizes and gauges encircle the front with drawings of needles and shuttles and a size chart. A heavy silver colored metal arrow is turned to a particular sewing machine manufacturer, model and gauge, which turns an inner carousel to the correct needle case that can be removed through a sliding hatch at the top. With the hatch opened, the inner carousel locks at the desired needle type.

The Boye Needle Company's "commodity cabinet" was patented by James H. Boye in 1906. The container was used in stores to dispense sewing machine needles and other related merchandise such as shuttles and bobbins.
