Description: 
Stamp with ivory handle with engraved gold base; top of handle is an open, cage-like canopy with small gold lyre with blue enameled details inside; rectangular stamp face with canted corners, made of black gemstone with intaglio monogram at center.
Gallery Label: 
According to the accession records, this stamp bears the monogram "J.L.," for Jenny Lind. It actually looks more like "JML," which may stand for Johanna Maria Lind, as the singer was originally known.
