Portrait bust
Gallery Label: 
This bust of Fulton belongs to the latter part of Houdon's career. It was the last of the portraits of famous Americans that he modeled. The bust was made in Paris while Fulton was living and working there (1797-1805). This bronze was cast (probably in 1909) from a plaster cast in the National Academy of Design.
