Description: 
A silk woven souvenir ribbon bookmarker from the 1893 Columbian Celebration still mounted on its original paper card. The multicolored ribbon has a central image of Columbus and his crew standing on a shore carrying banners. It reads in black, red, blue and gold "1492-1892/ 400th Anniversary/ In Commemoration/ Of The Discovery of/ America 1492". Below the image, an American Flag and the words "Landing Of Columbus/ Oct. 12th 1492/ In God We Trust ". The card reads "Souvenir/ Columbian Celebration/ New York, October 8th to 13th, 1892/ Woven in Pure Silk".
