Cream silk satin ribbon printed in black; depicts portrait of George Washington within an elaborate rinceaux frame with floral rosettes at four corners and fountain above; two hands joined in handshake are below; inscription: "Washington/TEMPERANCE BENEVOLENT SOCIETY/BIRTH DAY OF/WASHINGTON/FEBy. 22nd/TEMPERANCE/The Handmaid and Guardian Angel of/Virtue, Liberty and Independence"; hand-sewn onto pink silk satin ribbon with triangle-shaped top and bottom edges.
