Cream woven silk ribbon suspended from cream and pale green silk rosette with gilt metal American eagle at center; ribbon printed in gold, within rectangular frame: "RECEPTION/OF THE/Hon. Lewis/CASS/BY THE/MUNICIPAL/AUTHORITIES/OF THE/CITY OF NEW YORK/June 8, 1848"; Seal of New York beneath. Mounted onto rectangular piece of mat board with sheet of mylar taped around.
