Colorless, non-lead glass; pressed. Circular shaped plate with cable edge; rim with stars; center with portrait of William McKinley depicted in jacket and bow tie in a shield-shaped frame, inscribed "PROTECTION AND PLENTY" underneath.

According to accession records, this plate depicts William McKinley. The slogan on the plate ("Peace and Plenty") is similar to that quoted in The Reader's Guide to American History (See Publications) for the campaign, "Peace, Prosperity, and Protectionism."
