A cream colored ceramic calendar plate for the year 1916 with a gold rim around a central color lithograph of an eagle on a shield with a flag, encircled by the months with a decorative border of blue ribbons, laurel branches and yellow flowers. Near the bottom in gold "Compliments Of/ R.E. Shaw Co./ West Paris, Maine".
