A beige pinback button printed with a gold shield crest with leaves, and artist's palette, and a blue shield marked in white "France 1876", marked in red "France". Part of a series of pre-World War I national crest and standard buttons; many of the crests are no longer current. This button was part of a series of collectible premiums given by tobacco and gum manufacturers.
