A beige pinback button printed with a state seal, crest, symbol or motto from U.S. states and territories; marked "Wisconsin", with a shield divided into sections containing an anchor, an arm and hammer, a plow, and a pick and shovel flanked by a sailor and a miner with a badger and a cornucopia under a red banner marked "Forward". Part of a series of pre-World War I United States state buttons; some of the region names are no longer current. The reverse is printed "Sweet Caporal Cigarette", indicating that this button was part of a series of collectible premiums given by tobacco and gum manufacturers.
