Description:
Pair of wrought silver chinoiserie salts; circular, bowl-shaped bodies with flared rims; surfaces hammered all over below the rims and around scalloped disks on the bases; bands of repoussé chased flowers and leaves around the sides; oval reserves on the center fronts engraved, "L" in script; bodies seated on three scrolled feet with moustached Asian masks above; makers' marks stamped on the bases.
