This medallion is a brass ring with a silvered glass mirror on one side and a yellow paper disk inserted in the other. The yellow disk reads in black "Steel's/ Hotel and Dining Rooms/ 341, 316 & 318/ Greenwich St.,/ N.Y./ Bet. Reade & Duane/ Pat'd June 16, 1868".
