Pewter struck medal with obverse showing nude bust of Thomas Jackson facing left with surrounding legend: "LIEUT-GENERAL T.J.JACKSON 'STONEWALL' BORN 1821,DIED 1863." Reverse bears inscription at center, surrounded by corn and laurel wreath entwined with scroll bearing names of battle fields: "BULL RUN/KERNSTOWN/FRONT ROYAL, MIDDLETOWN,/WINCHESTER, STRASBURG,/HARRISONBURG, PORT REPUBLIC,/MECHANICSVILLE, COLD HARBOUR,/WHITE OAK SWAMP,/MALVERN HILL, CEDAR MOUNTAIN/MANASSAS; ornate plaque over military trophies beneath, with inscription: "DEO VINDICI."
