Inscription: obverse, below bust truncation, at center: "BORREL F." Inscription: edge, at right: "ARGENT"
Silver struck medal with obverse showing nude male bust facing left; legend: "F. HABENECK FONDATEUR 1828." Reverse contains inscription at center, enclosed by laurel wreath: "MEDAILLE/COMMEMORATIVE/1864/Melle E. THURSBY/3 & 8 AVRIL/1881"; legend around border: "SOCIETE DES CONCERTS/CONSERVATOIRE DE MUSIQUE." Medal is inset into circular burgundy red fitted leather case with blue silk velvet interior and yellow metal closure.
