Silver struck medal with obverse showing right-facing bust-length portrait in hat and ruff; legend: "JVAN PONCE DE LEON/ FLORIDA MARCH 27 TH 1512". Reverse shows fountain surrounded by trees; legend: "THE FOVNTAIN OF ETERNAL YOUTH". Loop fused to top with hanger ring.
