White metal struck medal with obverse showing bust-length portraits of Hudson (in ruff, top left) and Fulton (lower right) in ovals labeled underneath " HENRY HUDSON" and "ROBERT FULTON", with images of steamship and sailing ship between. Reverse shows laurel wreath border around square cartouche with legend: "SOUVENIR/ HUDSON-FULTON/ TERCENTENARY/ CELEBRATION/ `609 - 1807 - 1909/ NEW YORK". Hole punched off center top at right.
