Copper struck uniface medal consisting of two oblongs containing portraits in rope border joined at top and center with bars. Left shows left front-facing bust-length portrait of Hudson in ruff; legend: 1609 1909/ HENDRYK HUDSON"; right shows right-facing bust-length profile of Fulton; legend: "1807 1909/ ROBERT FULTON".
