Bronze struck medal with obverse showing building in background with sea and boats in foreground; legend: "WORLD'S EXPOSITION" ; in exergue.: "CHICAGO/ 1893." Obverse shows left-facing bust-length portrait of Columbus as seen from behind; legend: "CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS." Loop fused to top.
